AnotationUnderstanding the lifestyles of at-risk groups of young adults holds significant potential for social pedagogy, particularly in the realms of prevention and intervention. The aim of this thesis is to identify and understand the lifestyles of clients of halfway houses and to further explore the context of their lifestyles, which is influenced by the environment they come from (e.g. children's homes, dysfunctional families, excluded localities, minority and at-risk environments). A sub-goal is to understand the context of the microsystem, mesosystem and exosystem on the current lifestyle of these individuals, including changes in the dimension of time. The research will employ a mixed-methods design, integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches. The primary method in the quantitative portion of this thesis will be the Fantastic Lifestyle Assessment Inventory (Wilson, 1983, as revised by Murillo-Lorente et al., 2022), with the stated hypotheses tested using statistical methods. The qualitative segment will aim for a deeper insight into the lifestyles of halfway house clients, employing semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis as described by Braun and Clarke (2006). The study will be conducted in the Moravian-Silesian region and Prague, involving clients from ten halfway house facilities.
