Anotation | The goal of the project is to develop an innovative form of vitamin D supplement based on the principles of sustainable technology with an emphasis on the environment. Vitamin D supplementation in the Czech Republic is considered essential for the entire population, from newborns to adults to the geriatric population. In addition, it is difficult to maintain a sufficient level of vitamin D in the blood in patients treated for chronic diseases or in obese patients. Current vitamin D supplementation solutions based on the chemical extraction of vitamin D2 from yeast and from sheep lanolin on the market do not take into account a vegan, sustainable approach with regard to the environment. Project outputs of proven technology, utility model or patent will be licensed to third parties that have secured production and distribution infrastructure. Company EPS biotechnology s.r.o. will commercialize products on the local market in cooperation with clinical workplaces, or the distribution chain. |
