AnotationThe project builds freely on last year's project, expanding its scientific scope to include other composite materials, characterization methods, and new applications. The project is divided into a total of 5 sub-projects (SP), all related to the issue of porous materials. An essential step in synthesizing carbonaceous materials is pyrolysis (carbonization in inert). The first SP deals with an important aspect of the pyrolysis of organic materials, which is the effect of the flow rate of the inert atmosphere on the porosity of the resulting carbonaceous materials. The second and third SPs focus on the development of lesser-known methods to characterize the porosity of solids - thermoporometry (SP2) and NMR-relaxometry (SP3). The results of these two SPs can contribute to improving these methods, especially in data interpretation. The fourth and fifth SPs focus mainly on the application of porous substances. Firstly, for the sorption (storage) of hydrogen as an energy source by means of porous carbon-metalorganic framework composites (SP4), but also for the application of porous materials for the accumulation of heavy metals in the solution for their trace analysis (SP5).
