| Anotation | The present project focuses on the analysis, interpretation and comparison of literary representations of selected current polemical phenomena: gender issues, radical feminism and the ecological movement, decolonization, migration and their consequences in the form of assimilation and multiculturalism, etc. In identifying the main controversial socio-political issues in Western society today, we have drawn on the work of Czech, French and Spanish analysts, especially sociologists (Guilluy, 2019; Iglesias de Ussel et al, 2016; Petrusek a Balon, 2011). The aim of the research is to reveal and analyse the mechanisms through which contemporary authors writing in French and Spanish reflect the aforementioned phenomena in their prose, or to find out whether their texts retrospectively have any influence on the social development in this area, or at least whether - and how - they influence the shape of the social debate on the above-mentioned polemical issues. |
