| Anotation | The Ostrava Painting project maps the history of the Department of Painting from its inception to the present. will be a comparative study of individual studios (At. Painting 1 under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Balabán and At. Painting 2 under the guidance of Prof. František Kowolowski) and its concepts and visions. The main output of the project will be an electronic publication (the printed version of the book will be ready for printing later), which will contain 3 levels: - documentation of the work of graduates of both studios from 1991 to 2021 - selection of graduates who actively participate in the Czech art scene, supplemented by theoretical texts by various authors. - reflection on the teaching of painting by members of the Department of Painting The publication should provide an expert view of the issue of painting and its study at FU OU and the definition of the importance of Ostrava painting in the context of Czech fine arts. At the same time, it will inform the general public about the personalities of Ostrava painting based on the work of graduates beyond the region. |
