| Anotation | In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic represents an unprecedented intervention in all areas of human activity. The main goal in the acute phase of the pandemic is to protect the health and life of the most amount of people and those goals cannot be carried out or ?stopped without any economic losses.? Concretely in Czechia, great number of measures were applied to stop or reduce the number of infected people. In this study, our aim is to evaluate the impacts of these measures and the follow-up economic recession on the creation and retention of value in Czechia, in selected Czech cities and regions. The focus will be on selected mechanisms of value creation and capture: resilience of retail, adaptation of companies in the knowledge-intensive services sector at the intra-urban level, local supplier-customer linkages of companies and corporate philanthropy. |
