| Anotation | The submitted project is about the reflexion of new ideologies in the contemporary Spanish prose. Over the past century, the Western society had undergone a gradual transformation from industrial to post-industrial society. In parallel with this change, there happened the disintegration of three traditional great ideological streams - conservatism, liberalism and socialism, into different directions and tendencies aimed at self-assertion and combating dissenting opinions (Heywood 2014). After 2000, these new ideologies gained strength and in fact dominated the political space in the West. Part of every social change is also its cultural reflexion. The submitted project will, therefore, deal with the influence of the new ideologies as defined by A. Heywood in his Political Ideologies (2014) on the contemporary Spanish society and the reflexion of this influence in selected novels published after 2000. |
