| Anotation | HIV/AIDS that belongs to the group of sexually transmitted diseases is a serious global problem. According to the World Health Organization in 2018, there were 37.9 million HIV positive people worldwide, of which 1.7 million were newly infected. A negative trend of HIV incidence has been observed in the Czech Republic in the last years, the number of HIV positive persons has increased almost three times since 2008. In a global comparison, the growth rate of the number of infected people between the years 2010 and 2018 placed the Czech Republic on the 5th rank. That clearly demonstrates how important it is to raise public awareness of preventing the transmission of this virus. Therefore, the educational program "HOP or Playfully against STDs" was created. This program aims to educate elementary and secondary school students in the field of HIV prevention and other sexually transmitted diseases. The goal of the present work is to evaluate the effectiveness of education within the program in the years 2019 and 2020 and to analyse factors that affect the knowledge on the topic among students. The output of this analysis should be streamlining the program and targeted education where knowledge is the lowest. |
