Anotation	The given project reflects multilingual and multiethnic character of literary creation in Central Europe by means of several case studies. It tries to make use of contemporary tendencies in comparative studies and to follow cultural transfers in Czech-Polish-German perspective, especially in the border region of Silesia. In a wide temporal scope (from the 16th century to the first half of the 20th century) it touches miscellaneous comparative topics, first of all the comparative research of genres and popular culture, then the role of intermediators in cultural exchange, but also imagology, i. e. following mutual heteroimages and national stereotypes.
