| Anotation | The project Ecocritical Perspectives on 20th and 21st-Century American Literature explores ecological and ecophilosophical aspects in the work of selected American authors. The research will be focused on several major motifs and themes including ecospirituality, ecoapocalypse, sense of place, ecotopia and ecological literacy. While ecocriticism represents a productive and permamently cultivated field of study in the Anglophone world, it is a largely unexplored territory in Czech academia. Only a few ecocritical studies have been published by Czech scholars. The project will have the following outcomes: 6 scholarly articles, 3 conference prentations abroad, 2 presentations an Student conference and 1 MA thesis. |
