| Anotation | This project will provide a panoramic view of the language used by the Spanish people on the Internet, particularly in Facebook discussions. The character of the excerpted texts makes it possible to work with the contemporary Spanish language whose distinctive features and specificities are the authenticity, tendency to colloquialism and close ties with spoken language. The research will focus on the European variety of Spanish, which will be analysed especially with regard to the lexical level and, within that, to the current word-formation processes. As part of the outputs, the research team will focus, for example, on derivation, formation of neologism in general, use of foreign words, (non-)compliance with the spelling rules, word reduction, etc. Some topics are connected to the co-investigators? master?s theses: Los sufijos apreciativos en el lenguaje de Facebook, Las muletillas en el lenguaje de Facebook, Los procedimientos de abreviación léxica. |
