| Anotation | In the research project GAČR 409/08/P110 the author explained some key questions that are related to the formation of the social group of entrepreneurs in the 19th century. This problem was solved in two levels. In the first level the author, on the basis of unpublished collective biographies, analyzed the social structures of the entrepreneurs in the Czech lands in the 19th century. The author focused on the question of regional, social and profession origin of the entrepreneurs, on the importance of the education for the entrepreneurs in the 19th century, on the public activities of the entrepreneurs and on the collective recognition of this social group. In the second level the author made the microanalytical case study about one of the most famous entrepreneurial families in the Czech lands in the 19th century ? about Klein´s family. In this case study the author confronted the general trends couched in the first part with the concrete historical case. |
