The Rector of the University of Ostrava is issuing a selection procedure to fill the position for Centre of excellence IT4Innovations (CE IT4I) – Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM)
- Junior researcher in computer science
Job description:
- Active involvement in both fundamental and applied research, focused on selected fields of informatics such as data analysis, machine learning and related fields.
- Work on research and applied projects, as well as commercial contracts.
- Collaboration on outputs in the form of analyses, source codes, and scientific publications.
- Participation in data collection for specific project purposes and assistance with their finalization.
Starting work:
- November 2024, eventually based on an agreement. The contract with limited validity 1-3 years and with a potential prolongation.

Assumptions:
- Higher education in a master's degree programme: mathematics/computer science or related fields.
- Minimal research level R1 (Ph.D. student level).
- Field expertise: mathematics/computer science with the focus on the methods of data analysis, statistics, machine learning etc.
- Active knowledge of English language at B2 level.
