Job Description
Assistants participate in teaching in bachelor's and master's study programs (including opposing and supervising final theses). They actively participate in creative activities (especially in the form of active publication activity in peer-reviewed journals, or other forms of publication output according to the requirements of the field and in accordance with the requirements of the standards of creative activity at UO, active participation in scientific conferences and professional meetings, active presentation of the results of creative activity; in the case of artistic disciplines in the form of active artistic activity). In addition, assistants participate in popularizing creative activity, in the administration connected with the performed activity and in the self-administration of the university. Assistants actively work towards obtaining a PhD degree.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of painting field, exhibition activity
- PhD degree in the area of art finished or just before finishing or in case of an assistant position: foreseeable start of PhD studies in the field
- Excellent knowledge of Czech language – level C2
- English language competency, B2 level
- EU research level: R1/R2
Expected Start Date
- From 1st September 2024, but may be subject to change.

Language in Which the Selection Process Will Be Conducted
- Czech
The first round of the selection procedure will take place without the personal presence of the candidates by the assessment of the submitted materials by the selection committee.
The second round will take place in the form of an interview with the selection committee.
The Dean of the Faculty reserves the right to invite only selected candidates to a personal meeting and the right to also not select any candidate. The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music of the University of Ostrava may also cancel or repeat the selection procedure.
