The course is part of the theoretical foundation of nursing. It introduces the need for a multicultural approach in the care of individual needs of people, respecting the rights of their own cultural values, beliefs and convictions.

Understand the basic terms - ethnicity, culture, cultural variability, culturally appropriate care, etc.
Understand the nature and importance of transcultural nursing;
