Annotation:This course provides a comprehensive perspective on the relationship between psychology and health and illness. Throughout the course, we will explore various aspects of psychology related to both physical and mental health, from both an individual and collective standpoint. The course delves into topics such as stress and its impact on physical and mental well-being, stress management techniques, prevention of mental illnesses, psychosomatics, and the mind-body connection, mental health care, attitudes and beliefs in the health context, as well as dependencies and the relationship with food. Additionally, we will engage in discussions regarding the ethical and practical aspects of healthcare professionals' work and communication between patients and physicians. Furthermore, the course will address the psychology of change for the better, teaching effective strategies and techniques for lifestyle improvement and overcoming unhealthy habits to achieve a healthier life. This course is suitable for anyone interested in the intersection of psychology and health, whether they are healthcare professionals, psychologists, or individuals seeking ways to enhance their physical and mental well-being.
