| Annotation: | In the course "Language Contact and Bilingualism" will be present the theoretical basics of language contact as well as the issues concerning the question of bilingualism (interference between languages, diglossia, code-mixing and code-switching as reflected in practice). Students will become familiar with the theoretical aspects of language contacts on the basis of sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic and other boundary linguistic disciplines. Besides the issues of multilingualism in the multicultural surroundings the attention will be also paid to the questions of language policy. The questions of language contacts will also be applied and used in connection with the translation theory and teaching as well as in connection with the foreign langauge mastery and methodology of sociolinguistic researches. |
