Annotation:The aim of the course is to introduce students to the history of ancient Greece from a political, social, economic and cultural perspective. Emphasis will be placed on issues such as the formation of city-states, their development, flourishing and crisis, international relations and the nature of Greek culture, forms of goverment, institutions and public life. The presentation is built on the analysis of narrative and archaeological sources and on the results of contemporary research.
