Annotation: | Piano Improvisation course is a study subject of Piano specialization in the framework of Instrumental Play study programme. Already gained knowledge of theory and harmony, practical skills honed during Bachelor´s degree study are capitalized on at individual tutorials at Master´s degree programme. Winter term aims at deep consolidation of already acquired skills and knowledge necessary for smooth mastering of jazz improvisation principles. Overall, this course target seamlees and confident application of aquired knowledge at piano improvisation practise. Further honing of piano improvisation skills is at the core of Master´s Degree programme, alongside with creating improvisations which bridge improvisation techniques with composition and creative ideas of the student. Individual growth is strongly encouraged whilst keeping in mind all principles of piano improvisation. Teaching focuses on gradually involving the entire musical material and its application in free improvisation style.
