Annotation:Accompaniment Practice is a study subject of Piano specialization in the framework of Instrumental Play study programme. Cooperation with Singing, Strings and Wind Departments is required in a group teaching. First semester aims at lighter accompaniments and literature, less demanding in tempo and technically managable playing prima vista. The course aims at improving student´s abilities in piano cooperation. Overall harmony, breathing and music feeling are main focuses of the first semester´s content. By establishing these, the teaching delves into areas of articulation, phrasing, dynamics etc. Requirements: Ability to function in organizational and artistic cooperation settings among accompanier, accompanied and student´s Major tutor Ability to organize joint excercises and performances Ability to feel overall tempo, rhytm and expression Performance of studied programme at interpretation seminar or in front of examination committee or at commission credit performance Content: Individual seminars´ detailed content is based on selected repertoire Examples of adequate repertoire: Repertoire is selected to match chosen instrument or singing. Practising selected compositions in form of a semirecital Repertoire selection should also match technical and expression level of the student (songs with accompaniment, classical rondas, part of classical sonatas or concert with light accompaniment) Enter, bulding up, dynamics
