| Annotation: | For the third final year of bachelor's studies (compared to the earlier period of experiments), there is accentuation on the specific work result and the ability to make independent decisions, design and creating a work of art. Increased attention is now paid to the ability to reflect in writing the selected topics. The basic line on which the student cooperates with the teacher is set according to the schedule of preparation and completion of individual stages and entails the process of finding and specifying the topic of the theoretical and practical part of the upcoming student final thesis. The individual nature of the projects decides how to use this preparatory stage of the final project to produce material studies and research that will serve as a basis for later realization of the practical and theoretical part of the final thesis. Within the specified deadline (after the second third of the term), the preparatory phase ends with the final wording of the final thesis deciding the title, topic, scope, and method of conducting the thesis. The flexible system of elective courses allows the student to focus on deepening those previously initiated special artistic activities that best match his/her growing author intent and naturel. At the end of the term, the student is encouraged to systematically recapitulate and intensively reflect his/her realized outcomes. Foreign internship is exceptionally allowed during this term in a special case of independently working students who have not yet drawn on this possibility. Interpretations and discussions in the theoretical part of the study focus on the form of the earliest artistic trends, including the production of the youngest author's generation in all its forms ranging from traditional painting, sculpture and object to multimedia, sociologically motivated street art, site specific, lendart and postconceptual expressions. These overview lectures lay emphasis on variability, and the multifaceted breadth of the contemporary scene that is perceived as offering inspiring approaches. Their combinations and confrontations with the student´s inner motivation of his/her endeavor shapes the form of his/her own author´s approach. |
