Annotation:	The subject aims to convey an insight into the development of German written literature and culture from the period of naturalism to the dominant literary tendencies of the 21st century. The main cultural currents, which are represented in the lecture by literature, music, painting, architecture and other types of art, will be followed by an analysis of essential literary works the said period.
