Mgr. Jan Žemla

Mgr. Jan Žemla A specialist in music management, a musicologist, a pianist and a teacher.

Currently the director of the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the managing director of DKMO s.r.o., member of the programme boards of international music festivals and grant committees of the Ministry of Culture Czech Republic and the Capital City of Prague. In the past, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of DKMO, a.s. and Head of the Concert Activities and Dramaturgy Department of the Brno Philharmonic. He taught at MU and UO. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University and the Brno Conservatory.
