The Dean of Faculty of Medicine University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure for position:
- Laborant technician in hematooncology
Expected working time:
- 100%
Expected entry into the employment:
- September 2023 or by an agreement
Qualification and other prerequisites:
- Bc / Mgr / PhD with a suitable specialization (ideally) with practical experience from a laboratory focused on molecular or cell biology, biochemistry, histology or a similar field (at least during the study)
- Previous experience with animal models or completing the qualification in the first year is a prerequisite
- Knowledge of English (B1) for communication with our foreign researchers and foreign suppliers (web, email)
- Knowledge of working with standard office software
- Reliable, careful personality and capablity of working in a team
- Very good organizational and communication skills
- Suitable for graduates

Description of the work position:
The research assistant is responsible for maintaining the research laboratory operations. The main tasks are maintenance and archiving of cell lines, functional assays, molecular biology sample processing (DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, protein extraction and purification), protein detection and work on in vivo studies (mouse models). They are also involved in the day-to-day running of the laboratory, such as preparing solutions and media, sterilizing glassware, maintaining operating logs and hazardous substance records, and ordering stock.
