The University of Ostrava congratulates its first international General Medicine graduates
The University of Ostrava is thrilled to write a new chapter in its history as the first nine graduates from the international General Medicine Programme have successfully completed their studies. Launched 6 years ago, and fully aligned with the global trends and international education standards, the General Medicine Programme at the University of Ostrava welcomed students from various countries, including Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Greece, and Zimbabwe, to offer them all the tools needed to excel in this ever-evolving field.
Our students had the opportunity to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice, and train in a modern simulation hospital called SIMLEK, where they performed a wide range of medical procedures using professional equipment. They also had the unparalleled opportunity to practice at local hospitals, which helped them to learn the basics of the Czech language, and better integrate into our community. Ostrava has now become their second home. These individuals exemplify the high standards of personal and professional accomplishment and social contribution to which the University of Ostrava is committed. Prior to graduation, students chose their desired area of specialization, including plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology, otorhinolaryngology (ORL), orthopedics, and dermatology.
On Thursday, June 27, the University of Ostrava buzzed with excitement as the graduates officially received their diplomas in a prestigious ceremony that marked the conclusion of their rigorous academic journeys but also the beginning of promising futures. UO Medicine graduates now have the opportunity to embark on their futures, and make a meaningful impact by starting their promising careers in the crucial field of Medicine.
With a mixture of pride and anticipation, our university extends its heartfelt congratulations to its newest graduates, wishing them success as they venture forth, and welcomes its alumni to keep in touch with all those with whom they shared the joys and depths of medical school life.
