Annotation:The course focuses on the ethical issues of performing a non-medical profession in health care. It introduces the integration of ethical principles into ethical codes and deals with ethical dilemmas in dealing with healthcare professionals towards clients/patients. Objectives: - Understand the value system that forms the basis for the value system in health care. - Understand the nature of the change in the relationship between the medical profession - client/patient (paternalism - partnership) - Know the relationship between ethical and legal standards. - Know the importance of confidentiality. - Know the importance of the right of the patient to self-determination. - Know the principles of telling the truth to the patient. - Understand the ethics of dying and death. - Know the basics of ethical code of non-medical professions.
