Annotation: | The main goal of the course is to link the existing knowledge of scientific methodology so that students are able to design their own methodology of observational studies and manipulative experiments based on formulated hypotheses. Students will understand the importance of developing a data collection methodology and will be able to apply the principles of experimental design in practice. Emphasis will be placed on the differences between numerical, significant and substantive dependencies. The theoretical part will be followed by practical exercises aimed at explaining classical and more advanced analytical methods and at interpreting and displaying (presenting) the results of quantitative research. |
