Annotation:The aim of the foundation course Studio 3 is to acquire knowledge and skills in mastering of individual technologies, workflows and materials used in sculpture today. Students learn to use basic sculptural techniques on a practical level and combine them variably when working with specific materials - clay, gypsum, wood, metal, concrete, stone, artificial resins. In study modeling, they work with a living model, studying portrait and figure. In this way, they try to understand the mass, space, internal structure, and overall architecture of the statue. Alternating with their studies work they produce their own ideas in free creation or are assigned tasks so that they can reflect on themselves and on the contemporary world by their own means of expression. They are finding their own selves. Students also theoretically enter historical contexts in the form of written assignments. They get a basic overview of the history of sculpture in the period from Baroque to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The lectures are alternated with visits to museums and galleries, where students are getting familiar with the contemporary scene and history of not only the sculpting, but also of other artistic disciplines. The course is divided into five basic areas. Working with a model, working on assigned tasks, free creation, preparation of a report, a series of lectures.
