Annotation:Experimental Forms in Painting 1 teaches the student the fundamental principles of the aesthetic construction of a work of art based on the regressive relationships of form, content, and interpretation of the finished work. The student is led to search for experimental forms unusual for the medium of painting and finding stimuli also outside of classical imaging models. These are relationships and the search for meanings between iconography of painting, sound, process procedures, space, time, body, or non-artistic contexts. The student tries to release himself/herself from the confinement of the established forms of the work of art. Searching or experimenting is not for their own sake, it should also clearly express the conceptual process. The experiment is one form of work of art. The student learns to distinguish the modernist flair of the experiment for new forms of artistic communication, showing this discourse on the example of the avant-garde of the 20th century and its other post-World War II regression. He/she searches for meanings among different media. New media in relation to painting is being looked upon. Students learn to understand the affinity, eventually the differences of these conflicts. They embody forms and entities such as human physicality, processing, space, and time. Meaning and conceptual characteristics of the subject is thus decided. If a student decides to take the experiment over into other media, he/she needs to understand the chosen approach from a structural point of view. As part of the studio gallery presentations, the student will present the result of the chosen experiment.
