Annotation: | Course Drawing as a Tool of Artistic Thinking aims at studying selected information from outside of the art area that can serve as inspiration for artistic work. Lectures are conducted in the form of presentations, meetings with external experts or as expert literature studies. Motivational introduction to individual topics is available in ten teaching support workbooks prepared by studio teachers. In the second year, following the earlier content of the course, an increased emphasis is placed on the student's independent, individual decision-making on the direction in which he/she will continue his/her studies and the choice of topics. It is utterly important to search for avenues how to apply those discovered new ways of thinking in student´s own work. Exploring closely a particular point of view or method which might be discovered, searched, and transferring it in any given form into student´s own author concept is superior to having overall knowledge. Therefore, not only expert literature is the source of information, but popular scientific publications and different internet resources responding to the most up-to-date scientific discoveries or technical solutions that can be an impulse for starting an author work is a welcome addition. The student is expanding his/her set of records (author's diary) that serves as recapitulation of the areas explored and are now used as attempts to formulate his/her own author´s guidelines and procedures when processing information coming outside of painting area (scientific or other cultural area). |
