Annotation:Course is designed as an introduction to theoretical basis of meteorology, climatology and hydrology. Students are in lectures informed about basic theories, conceptions and terminology of the disciplines. In meteorology and climatology part, emphasis is putted on understanding of the spatial and temporal variability of the Earth climate system and on the methods of the meteorological information acquisition. In hydrology part, students will get information about components and processes influencing the rainfall-runoff process and water balance. Two short field trips are included, focused on practical demonstration of the gaining and processing of atmospheric and hydrologic data.
