Annotation:The Course of the History of Art in Central Europe covers different epochs from the Middle Ages to the mid 20th C. Art. The lectures will include 13 presentations of the most important monuments in different central and eastern European countries from 11th to the mid 20th century. Students will be involved in discussions on Bohemian, Hungarian, Polish and Lithanian art. In addition, they will be acquainted with monuments and culture of minorities (Jewish, Armenian, Tartars, Greeks, Serbian, Romas) and discover cultural diversity of central Europe and its history. Students will be involved in discussions on famous art historians in Central European cuntries. In the first class students receive detailed bibliography (far as possible in their native language).
