Annotation:The subject "Critical Social Work" will introduce various perspectives in social work, specifically radical and critical and its implications for social work practice. It will discuss their history and leaders. We will look at values and ethics in critical social work. The topics of oppression, participation, empowerment and advocacy will be closely and carefully discovered together with master degree students. The students will be appraised with radical casework, theatre of the oppressed (as a method of groupwork) and methods used in activist social work: open letter, petition, demonstration etc., as well as critical community work, leadership and social movements.
