| Annotation: | The course provides an insight into a range of areas of text linguistic research, which explore the concept of text as a basic unit of communication, the principles of its structuring and the ways it functions in communication, and which factors shape its comprehension and interpretation by an addressee. Students will investigate various approaches towards text analysis, demonstrated through examinations of authentic written as well as spoken discourse in an array of genres and styles. |
