AnotationThe aim of the project is to identify and explore the problems that generate conflicts within society at various levels, and to seek solutions to them in the theories of philosophers in terms of political and social philosophy, ethics and epistemology. The team members will focus on the phenomenon of conflict, which can take different forms: from information warfare to specific conflicts based on opposing theoretical positions, which are still seeking solutions leading to their reconciliation. The theme of just war will be explored through the example of a concrete conflict, such as the Palestinian-Israeli war. The philosophical concept of Eurasiatism, which was one of the reactions to Soviet policy, is part of the research and one can look for one of the theories to defend the Russian-Ukrainian war in the form of neo-Eurasiatism. One of the issues is how the digital environment contributes to current conflicts and whether it can be used in a way that does not alienate intra-human relations. The conservative approaches of Burke and Rousseau and their advocacy of local values and political institutions will be analyzed in terms of political theory. Using the epistemological positions of Sextus Empiricus as an example, answers will be sought to the question of how Pyrrhonian skepticism can be applied in the field of ethics. The approach to these topics is interdisciplinary and will be set in a broader historical and scientific context that has an international overlap (i.e., studies planned in English, active participation of members of the research team in international conferences).
