| Anotation | The intended SGS project will focus on language transfers - specifically, the positive and negative influences of L1 on the acquisition of L2 - primarily between Czech and French, and secondarily between Czech and Spanish or French and Spanish. This topic lies at the intersection of applied linguistics and didactics. Our linguistic investigation will address specific issues that emerged from language surveys conducted between 2021 and 2023. Emphasis will be placed on two specific areas: (1) the grammatical gender of nouns with varied etymologies, and (2) the prepositions POUR and PAR and their equivalents in Czech (Spanish). During the project implementation, we will seek to answer the following questions: What characteristic errors do Czech (Hispanic/Francophone) students make in these areas when learning French (Spanish) as a foreign language, and what causes these errors? Conversely, which linguistic phenomena do not present significant difficulties, and why? The publication plan includes writing two scholarly articles (in Jsc and/or WoS) and presenting a paper at an international conference. |
